According to the latest report of fDI Intelligence, in 2019 Poland took fifth place in Europe in terms of projects realized by foreign investors and third place in terms of the value of these projects.
fDI Intelligence is an English company that offers a wide spectrum of services related to foreign investments, including realizes foreign direct investment (FDI) research.
In 2019, foreign investors realized 373 projects in Poland and the country was in the top five among European countries. The first place in the ranking was taken by Great Britain (1217 projects), the second place — Germany (720 projects), the third place — Spain (658 projects), the fourth place — France (500 projects).
In terms of the value of capital invested, Poland took third place among European countries. The value of foreign investment in 2019 is about USD 21.8 billion. This is the highest value of foreign investment in recent years. Respectively, the first place was taken by Great Britain (USD 32.3 billion), the second place — Russia (USD 23.6 billion).
According to fDI calculations, the value of FDI in Poland in 2019 means an increase of 43% compared to 2018. It is also worth taking into account that in Europe is estimated an overall decrease of 11%. This means that in 2019 Poland attracted 10% of all foreign investments in Europe — informs the portal 300gospodarka.pl.
The Polish Investment and Trade Agency also informs about the increase in the amount and value of FDI in Poland. About half of the capital invested is reinvestment. What can mean, according to the portal wPolityce.pl, that foreign investors consider Poland as a stable country.
